We have been hosting guests since 1986 when we started as Brannan’s B &B in Picton, South Island, New Zealand.

Thanks for your hospitality and friendliness.   It's nice to know that we can travel to the other end of the world
and be met with kind people like yourselves.   I wish our stay was a little longer.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Rotorua which was even made better with the exceptional warm welcome
that was bestowed on us when we arrived at Ferntree Cottage. The privacy of the room, the peaceful location and
the great breakfasts, it was a little piece of heaven.

Room and amenities excellent- everything catered for e.g. handcream, sunscreen,many types of tea, coffee, furnishings exquisite, 
food terrific, bathrobes & slippers provided, advice given on sites to see- This was way beyond any 5 star accommodation we 
have had overseas. Hosts outstanding.

Wonderful hosts. Val and Geoff went through activities and attractions available in the area and helped us with whatever 
we wanted without being intrusive. Room was fabulous with every need attended to. Well ventilated, bright and private 
room - can't fault it! Would definitely recommend this stay and if in NZ would stay again.

Our hosts were so friendly, helpful and hospitable -couldn't have been better. Spotlessly clean, lots of thoughtful touches

hi val and geoff thanks for a wonderful stay and all the nice breakfast and city tour we had a great time in Rotorua.
Just wanted to tell you that tinakori lodge was very nice good quiet rooms and nevil was so informative about travelling
and Wellington sights so we can really recommend the place.
so everything's all right and we saw a ton of dolfins in kaikoura i was swimming among them and we even saw
killerwhales later so we are exited about that.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay on our first wedding anniversary. A lovely romatic getaway, with lovely 
touches to make it all that more special - red roses and bubbley and a lovely spa pool with fairy lights.

Geoff and Val are incredible hosts.  
The bed was great and the food was delicious.  Not to mention the great company. 
The Brannan's bent over backwards to let us know about the best places to visit and made us feel welcome in their home.  
Our visit was during an unusually cool fall and every time we returned home there was a roaring fire in the 
stove waiting to warmly greet us.  We will certainly stay at Ferntree on a return trip to New Zealand.

We stayed with Val and Geoff for 3 days and they made us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful time in Rotorua
which was made better with the great advice from Val and Geoff on where to visit. They gave us a map to help us
find our way about, which was very useful. Our room was very clean and comfortable.

Val & Geoff, what wonderful hosts!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality, the imparting of local knowledge,
the great breakfasts etc etc etc. You really helped make my first trip to NZ a truly memorable event.
The recommendation of the folks in Taupo really assisted and I had a great fishing day with them (Angela & Bruce).
The hunting part of the visit went wonderfully well. My whole NZ experience was fantastic, thanks again for your

We spent two glorious days at Ferntree in February 2010.
Very genial and knowledgeable hosts.
The welcome "snack" and breakfasts were exceptional
